Before Carly sits down for lunch with her friends and educators, Carly takes part in the centre’s sports program. Sports helps Carly improve her flexibility and strength (perfect for growing bodies!).

As part of the daily fee, children can enjoy extracurricular activities, including a sports program and a cultural program. I began working in early childhood education in 1999 and joined Great Beginnings Pakenham in 2014. I bring many years of experience across a range of leadership roles within early learning. Since joining Great Beginnings Pakenham, I have worked as a Lead Educator, Educational Leader, Assistant Centre Manager, and now Centre Manager. Each role has given me the opportunity to develop new skills, explore different areas of the sector, and deepen my passion for ensuring children receive the best possible start to their education journey.
Working collaboratively as a team, the educators display qualities such as positivity, kindness and, most importantly, a desire to help every child thrive. In our tailored 3 and 4-year-old Kindergarten  programs, your child will engage in play-based learning, exploration, and endless fun. Our program is designed around the interests of children to allow them to discover, challenge themselves, and take risks. During the toddler stage, children will learn mainly through relationships and through play. Play is crucial to your baby’s cognitive development as they develop the ability to think, understand and communicate.
Create great memories for your kids by choosing stimulating and exciting things to do. Your children will experience an engaging blend of learning, play, relaxation and meal times in our state of the art facility. Our programs are designed to foster creativity, confidence, and curiosity in every young mind. At Community Kids, we work closely with our families to enhance children’s development and ignite their passion for learning. We operate over 70 childcare and early learning centres, providing long day care and Government-approved Kindergarten and Preschool programs. We believe early childhood is a time of wonder, discovery, and growth.

This breaks down to $149 per day for babies, $154 per day for toddlers and $146 per day for kindergarten. We ensure families start their day right with fresh treats and a coffee station in our foyer. Each room receives fresh fruit daily, and seasonal fruit is always available in the front foyer for children to take on their way out, keeping hungry bellies satisfied before dinner.
Children’s brains will develop faster in their first five years of life than at any other stage in their life. Therefore, it is important to provide your child with a nurturing and stimulating environment with a variety of ways for them to grow and learn. When it comes to your child, we go beyond core language, literacy and numeracy to also focus on supporting their social and emotional development – including overall resilience. Our passionate teachers and educators deliver the Early Years Learning Framework through Community Kids’ innovative play-based learning program, which covers key curriculum areas. At Cardinia Lakes Early Learning Centre, every child is encouraged to express themselves, form friendships, and discover their place in the world.

You can access sessional programs at Chirnside Park and Pakenham (Hollins Children’s Centre), or integrated programs at our Croydon, Lilydale, Mt Evelyn and Yarra Junction centres. The Early Years Learning Framework has a strong emphasis on play-based learning. At Little Stars Pakenham, we recognize the importance of communication and language (including early literacy and numeracy) and social and emotional development. Every child’s journey is overseen by  accredited, friendly, caring, and attentive educators. Our carers foster inclusivity and create a space where each child can learn, play, develop, and participate in a way that reflects their unique strengths and interests.
Informed by world-leading research, practices and techniques, the curriculum encourages the children’s natural curiosity and engages them in their learning journey. Individual and collaborative play helps children to develop cognitive skills through learning how to problem solve, think creatively, and concentrate. Play also supports literacy and numeracy development, by learning new concepts such as counting, measuring, vocabulary and identifying letters and words.
