Christmas Decorations, Christmas Trees And Christmas Lights

The markets will run on the Saturday and Sunday of November 25-26, then every Thursday, Friday and Saturday in December until Christmas Eve, from 11am-8pm. There will be a community barbeque, food trucks and Gelato Messina available to purchase. Stroll along George Street and look at the stars on top of each light pole. The Woolworths building across from Sydney Town Hall is also draped in a curtain of light. The family is raising money for Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation through Light for Kids.
Sing along to your favourite carols set against the backdrop  of Sydney Harbour, enjoy amazing performances, and keep your eyes peeled for an appearance from a very special guest, all the way from the North Pole. A variety of food and beverage options will be available to purchase on the night or you can pack a picnic to enjoy with the family! Why not find some new Christmas outfits for these carols by candlelight Sydney. On the 9th of December, a team of locals (the Bay Street Initiative) will be hosting the very first Double Bay Christmas Fair! It will boast quality food markets, Christmas music throughout the day including a performance LED fibre optic Christmas green tree in the evening, family entertainment (eg, petting zoos, face painting) and maybe even a visit from Santa!

This session is usually followed by morning tea that is provided for children and adults and some free playtime! Junior Jivers is a fun, musical themed playgroup for toddlers, pre-schoolers and their parents (or grandparents / carers) run by a group of volunteers from Newington Anglican Church. Cutler Parade playgroup is a friendly place for parents and carers to bring the kids each week. Fees are $50 per family a term (first week) and you need to join Playgroups NSW (free). We’ve created a listing of all the playgroups local to the Ryde area including times, activities and locations.
Take a stroll along George Street and look up to the stars on top of each light pole. Drop by the Pitt Street Mall Canopy of Light while you're in the city.

There’s also  been an animatronic Santa, trains, forests of fairy lights, glowing snowmen – just about every joyful Chrissy decoration you could think of. Just down from Oxford Street, 47 Elizabeth Street is impossible to miss. Since 2001, Gary Swales has been decorating his Paddington terrace for the Christmas season. For a dose of Xmas vibes that are more local secret than grand spectacle, Light of Christmas at St. Mary’s is Sydney’s understated winner for the best Christmas lights in town.
When we needed to remove two trees that were threatening our home's foundations, Sydney Arborist Solutions provided an excellent arborist report that clearly documented the issues. Their knowledge of Ryde Council requirements was impressive—they knew exactly what information to include for a successful application. Highly recommend to any local homeowner needing help with council tree applications. We have one of the largest range of small Christmas Trees in Australia.
The tallest Christmas tree in NSW is decorated with more than 110,000 LED lights, a 3.4-metre colour-changing star and 330 specially created glossy baubles. We have rounded up the best of the Christmas events in Sydney to help you and your family share in the wonder of Christmas. Enjoy the Choirs in the City program every night in December at the tree. Wander through Martin Place and soak in the magic of Sydney Christmas.
