EQ is fundamental in many aspects of the preschool's activities; in our dance classes; art and writing galleries; group sports activities as well as in numeracy and literacy game challenges. My son attended 3 years of preschool and Kindy and he loved every minute of it. However, I witnessed something very disturbing.Two white boys, who appeared to be older than the other children, began chasing my 4-year-old daughter. I saw multiple instances where all five children surrounded my daughter, shouting at her in a provocative manner and preventing her from moving forward. My daughter was frightened and had to hide behind me several times.There were three educators present, but none of them intervened. However, with closer observation, it was clear that this was not the case.I didn’t step in right away because I wanted to observe how both the children and educators would respond.
The staff are warm, approachable, and genuinely care about each child’s development. The daily activities are well planned and engaging, helping the children learn through play. The communication with parents is excellent, and the environment is always clean, safe, and welcoming. My children have flourished here — thank you to the wonderful team at Kids Planet Academy!

This is the first time I’ve seen such a clear hierarchy and group dynamic among children in a childcare setting. I believe there is a real risk of bullying developing in this environment. To BE Me is Guardian’s exclusive learning program specifically designed for each age and stage of your child’s early years. The program includes resources and tools that support learning and make it easy to see your child’s progress along Learning and Development Pathways. It groups your child’s learning into seven areas to help you see this progress clearly.​ Each of these areas has behaviours or skills that are generally linked to each age and stage. Children receive their own My Learning and Development Book, which is updated regularly with their progress.

All the Educators that have supported my child during that time have been wonderful and caring. The management team are wonderful - transparent, communicative and approachable. I speak to the Director at every drop off and pick up and she always makes time to greet us.
