I liked, admired, disliked and was annoyed by each of the characters, and normally that doesn’t make for a good book for me, but this one worked! The ending was a little rushed but still a book I really really enjoyed. I like seeing both sides of a story and also the truth of how people are willing to compromise their values when it benefits themselves. It says something about the human condition, and not for the better, and we see it in politics all the time. Someone can believe that their views are the only way, but when feeling the opposite will make their lives better, they are willing to change their views in order to gain the benefit without ever looking back.
I did not find the events of the book believable, really disliked the main character , and am confused as to what we are supposed to take away from this story. Rebecca and Mickey find themselves in Palm Beach after a series of crazy events find Mickey in need of an immediate career change and a job.
